FAQs
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1) HOW IT WORKS
HOW DO I START & WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I CONTACT YOU?
Tap the WhatsApp button at the top of this page and request a call back. We call you back. We review your case and documents. We explain our recovery process and the next steps. We only take suitable and legit cases. If you agree to proceed, we sign a service agreement. Then we start the case.
WHAT IS YOUR SUCCESS RATE?
Our past results depend mainly on how old the debt is. i) For cases below 1 year, our success rate is about 95%. ii) For cases above 1 year, about 75%. iii) For cases above 2 years, it is about 50/50. This applies best when the debtor is still operating and the documents are proper. Results are case by case and not guaranteed.
DO I NEED TO CHASE THE DEBT FIRST BEFORE YOU TAKE THE CASE?
No. You can contact us once the invoice is overdue. We will step in as your collection partner and help to chase payment, so you can focus on sales and business growth. Our fees start from 10% to reduce impact on your profit margin. We understand business losses and cash flow pressure, and we aim to recover professionally without damaging your customer relationship.
DO YOU COVER ALL STATES IN MALAYSIA?
Yes. We cover Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak. For field verification services, charges depend on location and scope.
HOW DO YOU PROTECT MY REPUTATION AND YOUR REPUTATION?
We handle recovery professionally and discreetly. We follow the law and avoid unethical methods. We also choose our cases carefully. We have been helping businesses since 2012, and we protect our reputation by doing things the right way.
HOW DO YOU ENSURE YOUR RECOVERY PROCESS IS 100% LEGAL AND ETHICAL?
At Brix & Vinze, we prioritize your corporate reputation as much as our own. Our '100% Legal & Ethical' approach relies on professional mediation, field-based presence, and legal diplomacy. We strictly follow Malaysian law and global debt collection standards, ensuring we resolve disputes and secure payments without using harassment or unethical tactics.
2) RECOVERY FEES
HOW DO YOUR FEES WORK?
Fees start from 10% and depend on the age of the debt, amount, documentation strength, and debtor cooperation. We operate on a performance-based 'No Collection, No Fee' model for all accepted standard commercial recovery cases. A 'standard case' is defined during our Free Case Assessment phase, where we verify your documentation and the debtor's profile to ensure a high probability of successful recovery. You only pay us a percentage once the funds are back in your account.
IS THERE ANY UPFRONT PAYMENT?
No upfront charges for standard cases. If any extra service is requested, we will quote first and you must approve.
WHEN DO I PAY YOU?
You pay our agreed fee on each payment received. If the debtor pays by instalments, the fee applies to each instalment. We will issue an invoice and you must transfer payment within the stipulated terms.
DO I PAY IF THERE IS NO COLLECTION?
No. If no collection is received, there is no fee. You only pay our agreed fee on each payment received.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AMOUNT YOU ACCEPT?
It depends on the case and documents. Contact us and we will advise if it is worth pursuing.
3) FIELD VISITS
DO YOU DO FIELD VISITS?
Yes. We are field based. We visit when it helps to push payment and reach the right decision maker.
DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR FIELD VISITS?
No. We do not charge extra. We absorb the field cost. We only get paid when we collect.
CAN YOU SHARE PHOTOS OR PROOF OF FIELD VISITS?
We provide written progress updates based on case necessity and progress. Photos are not included under normal recovery due to confidentiality and PDPA compliance. Photos and verification reports are not included in normal recovery. They are part of our paid field verification service and will only be done with your written instruction and approval. If you need formal verification proof, please request it and we will quote first.
HOW MUCH FOR FIELD VERIFICATION SERVICES?
For addresses in Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak, the price usually ranges from USD 500 to USD 2,500 for full and comprehensive field verification. The final fee depends on location, travel time, and scope. You, the client, must give written instruction and approval before we proceed.
4) DOCUMENTS
WHAT DOCUMENTS DO YOU NEED?
Invoice(s) Statement of Account (SOA) Purchase Order (PO) / Delivery Order (DO) (if any) Any agreement/contract exchanged (signed or unsigned) Any lawyer’s letters (if any), including reminders or demand letters, or your internal reminder notices Supporting communication with the debtor (WhatsApp/email), especially anything showing: – delivery/acceptance – payment promises / proposed payment plan – disputes raised – acknowledgements of the debt We will guide you throughout the process, including what documents are needed and the recommended next steps.
WHAT IF I HAVE NO DOCUMENTS OR ONLY VERBAL AGREEMENT?
Recovery is difficult without proper proof. We may not accept the case if there is no clear documentation. If you have any messages, bank records, delivery proof, or witnesses, share what you have and we will advise honestly.
5) DISPUTES
WHAT IF THE DEBTOR DISPUTES THE INVOICE?
We will first review the invoice, supporting documents, and the debtor’s stated reason for the dispute. If the dispute is genuine, we will advise the best next step before proceeding, including what additional documents are needed and the most practical route (commercial recovery, structured settlement, or legal escalation where appropriate). If the dispute appears tactical or unsupported, we will proceed with the recovery approach based on the documentation and facts.
WHAT IF THE DEBTOR IGNORES CALLS AND MESSAGES?
This is why we use a field based approach. If it was easy to call and collect, you would not come to us. Many debtors ignore calls on purpose. We follow up intensively to reach the right decision maker, confirm the situation on the ground, and push for a clear payment plan. We do this professionally, according to the law, with strict compliance and no harassment.
CAN YOU GUARANTEE RECOVERY?
No. Nobody can guarantee recovery. We choose our cases carefully, act fast, and we do not allow the debtor to drag negotiation without a clear payment plan and cooperation.
6) LEGAL ESCALATION
DO YOU PROVIDE LEGAL SERVICES?
No. We are not a law firm. If needed, we coordinate with external lawyers.
I HAVE A COURT JUDGMENT BUT THE DEBTOR STILL NOT PAYING. WHAT NEXT?
Contact us. We will review the judgment and your documents, and assess whether enforcement is realistic. Enforcement usually involves additional steps and costs. We will explain the options and requirements privately before you proceed.
DO I NEED A LAWYER AND GO TO COURT TO RECOVER THE DEBT?
Not always. Many cases can be resolved through commercial recovery first. If legal action is needed, we will advise if it is worth it and explain the process and requirements before you proceed. We are not a law firm, but we can coordinate with external lawyers if needed.
ARE THERE EXTRA COSTS FOR LEGAL OR ENFORCEMENT ACTION?
Yes. Legal or enforcement action may involve third party costs. We will explain and confirm any requirements privately before you proceed.
WHY NOT START WITH A LAW FIRM?
Some clients avoid starting with lawyers because cases can turn into long legal processes with added costs, and recovery is still not guaranteed. We do commercial recovery first. We only escalate to legal action when the debtor is recoverable and the cost makes sense, and only with your approval.
7) BUSINESS DEBT ONLY
DO YOU HANDLE PERSONAL DEBTS?
No. We only handle business to business debt. Personal debts often have weak proof and missing documents. Many cases turn into arguments or fake claims. Because our service is success fee only, some people abuse it with non serious claims. To keep things fair and professional, we focus only on documented commercial debts.
WHAT BUSINESS DEBTS DO YOU HANDLE?
We specialize in 6 core high-value sectors: Construction, Engineering, General Trading, Logistics, Machinery Rental, and Professional Services. This includes the recovery of unpaid invoices, trade credits, progress claims, retention sums, and service fees. Whether the debt is local or located overseas, we apply a tailored strategy to ensure commercial viability.
WHEN WILL YOU REJECT A CASE?
We may reject cases without proper, legit proof of the debt. For court judgment cases where enforcement has already failed, we may only proceed after review, because recovery may not be realistic. Many unpaid debts have an underlying problem, so we must be careful before we proceed.
DO YOU HANDLE INTERNATIONAL CASES?
Yes. We have been a global recovery partner since day one, collecting for Malaysian creditors from debtors located worldwide. Our international reach covers major trade partners including Singapore, China, Australia, and the UK. Each overseas case is assessed individually to determine the most cost-effective recovery route through our global network.
